What is the Wednesday Kayak?

Print

The simple answer is this.

Every Wednesday ( minus the last 2 weeks of the year), we kayak at 6:45 pm in Foster City, California.

The kayak is sponsored and hosted by AquanSports

Aquan provides all the kayaks, PFDs, and paddles.  You just have to show up, get your gear, and go.

Where is it?

 Foster City, California

What do you need to bring?

  1. Light jacket
  2. Headlight
  3. Change of clothing

Who comes to these kayak sessions?

Beginners of all ages as well as experienced team members.  We paddle in groups.  No one is left alone.  Safety is a priority.  And.., the more experienced paddlers pass on their knowledge to the beginners.

How long is the paddle?

Some people go for 30 minutes while others go for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Is it a workout?

Only if you want it to be.

How much does it cost?

Then, it is $20 per session or $200 for the year. ( Note - These fees go to Aquan Sports to help maintain the boats.  California ARA is not associated with the session fees.)

For more details checkout the Aquan Website

And don't forget the post kayak dinner

It has become a tradition for us to get some Pho after the kayak.  This is especially good on a cold night.

What is the Skeggs Ride?

Print

The simple answer is this.

Every Friday, we mountain bike at 6:30am at Skeggs also known as El Corte de Madera.  Once a month we vary the location to keep it fresh.  Join this google group to get our weekly Skeggs information.

The ride started as a small group of friends looking to have fun on a Friday morning before work.  Today, the ride has become a small group of friends still looking to have fun on a Friday morning :)
