California Adventure Racing Association

We have an expedition race, two 24 races,  three Explore race and four Sprint to come. The rankings are not set and almost everyone has a chance to climb closer to glory.

In the elite category – ADVENTURE COED – we have a main contender to beat. Team Yoga Slacker is ahead with 4922 points with 4 victories in the 6 CARC events they have entered. They will be hard to beat but teams Racing With Giant, Feed the Machine, True Grit and Beauty And The Beast may have a chance to come close if they do well in the upcoming races.
Teams Dart-nuun-SportMulti, Technu-Extreme, Tahoe Truckers,Triple BS Racing and Pedrido and El Turbal who all only entered two races can have a strong come back with the four remaining adventure events of the season.

In the ADVENTURE ALL MEN category, the competition for first place is  among CaliCo Racing, who is leading, Dirty Avocado 1 and TAF of Las vegas. These three teams are within 1000 points of each other.  Many of the ALL MEN teams have scored very well in at least one event this year. With more events ahead,  the score board can change quickly. ALL MEN teams, it's time to go for 24 hour racing!

ADVENTURE ALL FEMALE category is dominated by team Vanderkitten with 2 wins out of 2 races. We have heard that they will be racing Big Blue Tahoe 8 hours. We've got team Lucky and Brave Tarts who also had good results in their races.  They could give some serious competition if any of them entered next week's Gold Rush 24, Big Blue Tahoe 8 or the final Wiskeytown Sprint or 24.  Are there any female teams  out there ready to give Vanderkitten some competition?

And Finally the SPRINT Category.

In the elite category – SPRINT COED – we have team Synergy AR with 1860 points after two races. Will they race another sprint in them  after having tasted the flavor of 24 hour racing at Big Blue Tahoe 24? Behind them is Team America and Parent of 7 who scored very well at one race this year. Shoots and Ladders is rewarded for its passion for adventure racing with 830 points collected over 4 events – they have raced all the Northern California SPRINTS of the season and we hope to see them at Tahoe and Whiskeytown .

SPRINT ALL MEN is dominated by team Taintastic! who entered almost every sprint and managed to win three of them. Where is the competition?  We hope to see team Taintastic experimenting on longer races now that they have secured their lead in the Sprint category. With only 4 sprints to go the battle will be for second place.

SPRINT ALL WOMEN is dominated by team Vanderkitten who's perseverance has paid off. It's the only ALL WOMEN team who joined four races. Note that Vanderkitten is also leading the ADVENTURE ALL WOMEN category!
